Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz. At first he thinks he's hit the jackpot-fame and fortune are his for the taking. That all changes, however, when he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity-and even a bit of wizardry-Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

District 12 was the poorest district in the nation of Panem.
Located in the Appalachia and with a population of around 8,000 people, District 12's main industry was coal mining.[1] District 12 had not won the Games for many years since Haymitch Abernathy, now an alcoholic and an embarrassment to the district, won the 50th Annual Hunger Games, also known as the second Quarter Quell. Some jobs include Coal miner, Geologist, Blaster, Surveyor, and Metallurgist.

Last Wish of dying girl...
Last wish of MN girl fighting leukemia
There's a social media effort to grant the dying wish of a young girl with leukemia. Jane Fiemeyer is a big fan of a Nickelodeon band from Minnesota, Big Time Rush, and her wish is to see them. They are not scheduled for Minnesota, but social media is working to get them here.
Jane is going into hospice - she has days, weeks or months to live.

MINNEAPOLIS - There's a social media effort to grant the dying wish of a young girl with leukemia. Jane Fiemeyer is a big fan of a Nickelodeon band from Minnesota, Big Time Rush, and her wish is to see them. The eight-year-old will leave the hospital and enter hospice care on Wednesday, September 5th.
Doctors say Jane has anywhere from days to week...maybe months...to live. That time frame makes it tough for Make a Wish to fulfill her dream of meeting the boy band. However, Jane is getting help on social media. It's a big time wish and Jane has a lot of people behind her.
Her mother spread the wish on facebook, which spread to Twitter where thousands of people are now tweeting the #BTRmeetJane.
Jane was diagnosed with leukemia back in August of 2011 and has been in and out of hospitals since.
On Wednesday, she's headed home to Wadena to begin hospice care.
Big Time Rush is on tour right now and the band does have upcoming stops in Michigan and Illinois. Jane's family would be thrilled if they somehow fit in an extra stop to Minnesota.
"As a mom you do whatever you can to make your children's wishes come true. I think any parent, that's just what we do and I put it out to people who love her and do whatever I can to make her wishes come true. I'm trying to fit a lifetime of wishes in a shorter time frame and this is one that she's expressed to me that's important, " said Jil Fiemeyer, Jane's mother.
In the meantime, Jane's leaving her own legacy by selling wallets and bags made out of duct tape. So far she's raised $850 and all of the money goes to children's cancer research.

This is one of my favorite places to shop, and most of my fabulous scarves were purchased here - and I get lots of compliments on my scarves. Below are the days for the September Market - hours are on her blog. People come from all over the Twin Cities to shop here - seriously... and you won't be disappointed, but come early, as the fabulous items go fast!
I'm hoping to find an old globe that is NOT in mint condition, to paint over for my son's room with chalkboard paint. I LOVE globes, especially vintage ones, but I can't bear to paint over them, so I'm looking for one in tough shape, under $10 - my son is excited about being able to jot notes on a globe! My other vintage globes (in great condition) have been purchased at Buffalo MN shops.
Teresa's shop "The PORCH and Atelier" is featured in the new issue of Flea Market Magazine! Super Awesome...along with a bench by her son, Alan.
Teresa also had a feature "Dorm on a Dime" on Kare 11 TV, so click on the link above a view the video.
Check it out at your local bookstore, or better yet - buy the magazine while browsing her shop!
