Charity Event

Last year I donated earrings for a silent auction to benefit the Reach for the Stars Foundation, which helps families dealing with Cystic Fibrosis. My suppliers generously contributed to this auction too.

This year the same event director, who has move to LA, has asked me to donate to another silent auction to benefit youth at a Gala Evening in Beverly Hills, for HOBY. My Etsy suppliers have been generous again this year, in a variety of ways—no surprise, as I find a generous, giving spirit among Etsy sellers, not only in deeds, but in words as well.

One of the HOBY youth alumni to be honored this year is Rachel Doyle, founder of Glamour Gals. How cool is this?! GlamourGals is non-profit whose mission is to foster intergenerational relationships between teen girls and elderly women living in senior homes through monthly facials and makeovers. www.glamourgals.org

I’m so excited about the leadership shown by the alumni youth of HOBY, I’m trying to donate a large amount of earrings for their silent auction. Currently all proceeds of sales in our shop, (until my shipment is sent to the event), will be donated towards HOBY and Glamour Gals.
