Remember Betsy McCall?

Who doesn't know Betsy McCall, perhaps the best known magazine paper doll in America? A sweet-faced Betsy McCall by Kay Morrissey debuted in 1951. Morrissey was followed by an unknown artist in 1955, then by Ginnie Hoffman in 1958. Betsy McCall modeled fashions that could be made with McCall's patterns while she enjoyed travels and activities all over the United States and beyond.
I was so excited when I found this on Etsy -- a walk down memory lane. I remember getting the Betsy McCall paperdolls from my grandmother years ago. How fun that an Etsy seller has made Betsy available for a new generation of young girls, or collectors. Please visit http://www.evelynnsalcove.etsy.com/ to purchase Betsy!
